File Focus Page Overview

• Preview of the File: On the left-side of the page, you’ll see the design itself. If it’s an image or PDF, Lace will display it so you can view it without downloading.

• Tags: "AI-generated tags" and user-defined tags help keep your workspace organized. You can search by and link related files by tags.

• Comment Thread: The comment thread includes all feedback messages related to this file. Click the refresh icon to pull actionable feedback from the emails in the thread as comments. For example, if a client replied, “I like this, but can we try a different color?” that email text will appear here as a comment from that client (with their name and timestamp).

• Reply/Comment Box: At the bottom of a comment, you should see a text box where you can add a comment or reply. This is where you can type your response to the client’s feedback directly in Lace. When you post it, Lace will send it as an email reply to the client behind the scenes. It keeps the email thread going, but you didn’t have to switch to Gmail to do it.

• Resolve Comments: Next to each comment in the thread click "Resolve" to mark feedback as addressed. You can reopen a resolved comment if further discussion is needed. This helps you track what’s done vs. what still needs action, just like a lightweight ticketing system.

• Related Files: Below comments, links to files related to the open file by similar meta-data, visuals, or tags will appear.

The File Focus Page centralizes the design and its discussion. It’s designed to keep you and your client on the same page (literally!). Instead of one long email chain with attachments and comments all jumbled, you have a clean view.
